Eustace Gilbert Bowhay Eustace Gilbert Bowhay was the son of Albert Bowhay and Edith (formerly Woodd) born in 1889 in Gunnislake, Calstock, Cornwall. He was a Captain in the Devonshire Regiment and died aged 26 (unmarried) on 8 Mar 1916 in Mesopotamia. 1896 William Herbert Ashley, born 54 Beulah Road, Sutton, Surrey, was educated at Crown Road School, Sutton. Aged 14 in 1911, he worked as a junior clerk at a Fireworks factory. 1915 he was living 103 Thorpe Bank Road, Shepherds Bush, aged 18.
