Annual Report to the Charity Commission

The Guild is a registered charity in England & Wales.

The Guild, from 1989 until 2022, was an un-incorporated association, and our registered number with the Charity Commission was 802048. Charities are required to submit an annual report and accounts to the Charity Commission within ten months of the end of the financial year (which for the old charity was 31st October).

Members and assets of the old charity were transferred to the Guild of One-Name Studies CIO on 30 September 2022. The final report and accounts to the Charity Commission for the old charity is for the 11 months to 30 September 2022.

The document contains three portions:

  • the Trustees’ report
  • our annual accounts, presented in the format preferred by the Charity Commission and
  • the report of the external Independent Examiner.
