Son of John Millington and his wife Emily (nee Toon) of Linton Road, Castle Gresley, Derbyshire.
Captured at Bullecourt, 21st March 1918 when most of the battalion were captured. Held in a German Prisoner of War camp until the end of the war. Family stories have it that he was employed by the Germans to work down the mines, and that when he returned home he carried on working down the mines (as a Pit Safety Officer).
