RootsTech Connect Update – Guild Members and Their Presentations; The Dashboard Posted 23 February 2021 by Tessa Keough For those asking about using the dashboard for the RootsTech Connect event, it will not be available until the event goes live. Sorry if that was unclear in my previous article. I understand that the FamilySearch team thinks everything will be up and running Wednesday afternoon because the Virtual Exhibit Hall opens that evening. Also keep in mind that the times listed are for Utah which is USA Mountain time – I believe that is a 7 hour time difference for those in the UK. As soon as I know more about the chat rooms (also on Wednesday) I will confirm whether we can have one for the Guild and set that up – it would be great to meet and chat with Guild members from around the World who are attending RootsTech Connect. And just an FYI – 11 Guild members are speaking on a variety of topics (22 presentations)! Some of my personal favorites are Bernice Alexander Bennett, Toni Carrier, Melanie McComb, Kathy Meade, David Ouimette, Cheri Hudson Passey, and David Joshua Taylor. I want to learn more about organizing and using metadata with my photographs and documents as well as Irish records research so I plan to attend those sessions during the live event so I can join chat rooms and ask questions of the presenters as well as fellow attendees (thanks for that tip Michelle Patient). What are you planning on viewing or what suggestions do you have for speakers to add to our playlists?
