About the study

The Warden One-Name study commenced about 2015 when my wife started investigating her mother's family.

My wife's great-grandparents, Alice and Henry Warden, were frequent occupants of the workhouse in London at the turn of the 20th century and it made us wonder how they came to be in such dire straits.

As we continue to investigate my wife's family we will also collect data on other Warden families that we encounter.
