The Riach One-Name study came about with researching my maternal line. It seemed the only Riach people I had heard of were family, small in number and located in Morayshire. It was not until I started delving deeper into the family that I realised they were not in just one area of Scotland but had spread throughout Scotland, England and the world.
It seemed appropriate after years of family history to register a One-Name study.
The majority of my Riach's have been spelt RIACH, but on occasions there have been spellings of Reoch, Reach, Reech with the odd other variants.
