I have collected information about the Hubery Surname over 30 years and decided to join the guild of one name studies In 2020

there are 3 main trees related to The Hubery surname

Tree one STS1 Is related  to a Ralph Ewbury aka  Uberry of Codsall c 1714 the earliest reference of this family. and my great grandmother Ann Selina Hubery was a descendant of Ralph.

Tree two BKM1 Is two brothers James Hubery b 1854 and William Hubery b 1859 who where born  with the surname Oldbury In Wednesfield Staffordshire who bear the Surname Hubery migrated to Kelloe Co Durham to work in the Coal Mines there. There ancestors can be traced to Hughe Hubery of Cheddington

Tree three STS3 starts with William Rubery and Ann Leech who married in 1652 at Kingswinford St Marys possibly linked to James Rubery Est 1660 and Elizabeth which is Possibly Linked to William Rewberry who married Hannah Rolaston the Proven Ancestor of Joseph Rubery born 1804 died 1852 Stepfather of  Francis Rewberry aka Hubery born 1854  and Polly Rubery of the ROWBERRY one name study as researched this tree

Variant Oldbury Appears in Tree 1 and 2 Above and Oldbury SAL3 which as changed  Tree 4  Starts witb Siblings  John Westwoode Alias Wobery and His Sister Margaret Goghe nee Westwoode Alias Oldbury and as links To Oldburys Of Oldbury and   I Have taken the Liberty to add notably families mentioned in early wills and some visitations Names include Woodward Sayer King Blakeway Baskefield And also shows the the descending direct line to  His Gracious Majesty King Charles III as a Descendant this tree as changed 

and there  a branch which starts with Richard Oldbury and Hannah Breeze whom Married at Hopesay in Salopshire In 1716 Tree 5 SAL2 Related to those of  Clun Salopshire and as Links to Knighton in Radnorshire Wales

Also SAL1 tree 6  Oldbury's of Bridgnorth an ancestral Link to Richard in the 1500s this tree as which as Changed

Some Oberys where Obray and is mostly tree 7 WLS1 Is John Obray Referred to as John Barnett Obray of Pembroke Dock decendants  but the Ancestral Line is Aubrey and Awbrey . 

Obery Spelling Tree 8 FRA1 Is Paul Obery born n 1819 In Lorraine France and emigrated to USA and Settled in Illinois and Founded Obery Farms in 1874 in North East Metamora Woodford County in Illinois

Obree Spelling Tree 9 Starts in France With Charles Aubry and his son Isaac came to England to Canterbury in Kent and changed the Name to Obree One of the Descendants was named Arthur Percy Obray hench a new variant

Also a new Variant found  Horbury as a Result of a Birth Record of Thomas Hubry in 1853 a deviant of Hubery links and some  Holbury's in St Peter's Woolley Chapelry  a deviant of Oldbury links to the Name Horbury and Tracks to a Marriage of Thomas Horbury / Halberry and Mary Horner In 9 Feb 1719/20 at St Peter's Woolley West Riding Of Yorkshire Which now links to The Reverend Robert Horbery of Misson and Maria Drewry Married 1607 Misson Tree 10 NOT7 Which Include A Number of Spellings  Horbery Holbery Holbrey Horberry Horbury Holberry Etc

Tree 11 NOT1 Which Start which I believe starts with  Thomas Horberry and Elizabeth Stringer who married in 1664 at Fledborough

Tree 2 BKM1 Origin Is Cheddington as far back as 1574

Tree 3 STS3 you have to ask Polly Rubery of the ROWBERRY one name study but probably Kingswinsford as far back as 1652

Tree 4 SAL3 Oldbury is a Locational Name of Oldbury Salopshire.

Tree 5 SAL2 Is Clun but probably related to SAL3 Tree.

Tree 6 SAL1 Is Bridgnorth but probably relate to  SAL3 Tree

Tree 7 WLS1 is Believed to be Normandy France 

Tree 10 NOT7 Origin I Believe is Horbury West Riding of Yorkshire A Locational Name 

Present day those that bear the surname Hubery  are mostly live in County Durham area which I  believe relates to Tree 2 a few in Yorkshire Tree 1 and 2 I believe  and there a few In Australia relating to 3 branches of tree 1  there are other places in the UK and one family in Spain also I learn there a family in South Africa

1881 those that bear the surname  Hubery was in Wolverhampton District Area Tree 2 one family  and Cannock District Area Tree 1 Three Families and Dudley District Area One family Tree 3

1841 Those that bear the surname Hubery at Codsall my 4th great grand parents and one family in  Bushbury both Tree 1

There only few records before that bearing the  Surname Hubery one is  a baptism of John Hubery in 1840 in the Longbirch Roman Catholic Registers

The Earliest  References of Hubery  is a Baptism of William son of Hughe Hubery in 1574 at Cheddington Buckinghamshire

Obery name appears to have died out in England and Wales as its a Variant of another name except there is one family appearing in the 1980's which is related to a South African family SAF1 Tree But I think there some in New Zealand related to Tree SCT5 There a Lot of References in USA

I dont have any DNA data at present. and looking for Suitable Male candidates to take a Y DNA 37 Marker Test  to See if any of the Trees as a Common Ancestor and to Vertify the Tree that two Males In the Same Tree as a Common Ancestor

The Y DNA Passes from Father to Son so Is Suitable for a One Name Studies so Any one on Illegimate Lines will not be Suitable

Im Looking to see whether Males on BKM1 AND STS1 Tree as a Common Ancestor

Im Also After a Male Descendant of Arthur Thomas Aubrey who Married Frances Edith Blythe on the 3 Feb 1912 at Aberford is the same as Arthur Thomas Hubrey born 2 jan 1885 at 64 Spencer Road Pancras Middlesex
