This small study was started by Bill Frankum in the 1960s, when there were only two Frankums in the London telephone directories. He found the roots of his family were in Berkshire about 1750. The study now has two main trees in the U.K. both originating in Berkshire in villages West and South West of Reading. Branches in Australia and New Zealand originate in the U.K.
The study is now recording information on Frankums in the U S A and Canada, and trying to create trees to determine their origins.
