My One-Name Study of BLOFELD and variants
Known variants are BLOFIELD, BLOFEILD, BLOFFIELD, BLOFFEILD, BLOWFIELD, BLOWFFIELD, BLOWFFIELD, BLOFFIELD, BLUFELD, BLUFIELD, BLUFFEILD plus all the above with an e on the end.
I am not yet sure whether BLOOMFIELD (and its variants) should be part of this study or whether it is a seperate surname. Watch this space
I have collected the majority of the births, marriages and births from the GRO indexes for the years 1837 - 2005 together with the census records for the nine census years 1841 to 1921 plus the 1939 register for England and Wales. However both these projects are still ongoing.
I am also collecting parish records, wills and other documents but as yet have only collected a few from a small amount of areas. Again an ongoing project.
This is an area of research that I am extremely interested in but don't yet know of any male BLOFELDs to ask to take a test. I have set up a project with FTDNA.
