The Members Website Program Team The MWP team comprises the following: MWP Lead – responsible to the Trustees of the Guild for the conduct of the program. Site Type Leads – sets up the sites and provides advice and guidance as apropriate MWP Applications Manager – supports the end-to-end life of each website from advising the member on which type, handling the application from the member for a site, ensuring the site is set up then managing the process by which a site goes into Legacy or is removed. Type 1 Lead: creates the domain, sets up an FTP account, adds the default page and informs the member of the URL and FTP credentials. Provides support to the member in uploading their site. It should be noted that the Type 1 Lead does not necesarily have knowledge of the application the member uses to create the site – for example GedSite, SecondSite or Webtrees. However there are people in the Guil who do and may be able to help. Type 2 Lead: creates the domain, sets up an FTP account, installs the requested applications, carries out brief configuration and informs the member how to access it.. While support of the applications is by the developers (e.g. TNGsitebuilding.com and WordPress.com) there is significant knowledge within the Guild and the associeted members may be willing to help. Type 3 Lead: creates the site in the Type 3 environment and and informs the member how to access it. The Type 3 lead is supported by the TNG Team who have significant experiance in how to use TNG – concentrating on Type 3.
