Our individual studies often begin from a single point and with a single mission, and sometimes they just morph into something else entirely, taking new directions. This looks to be a fascinating and inspiring webinar. And it was. We were joined by a number of genealogists who have Liddiard’s (and numerous other spellings) in their family. We were also joined by three people who had joined the webinar to listen in and contact Karen, which is wonderful. Summary of the webinar The Liddiard Study is over 30 years old. Whilst originally it was a locational name, Liddiard in one of its many forms can be found on all continents. Even for a short period of time in Antarctica. Karen explored the challenges when dealing with 27 variant spelling forms, from 1453 till today and researching from outside the country or origin, and includes material from Australia, New Zealand, the United States, and South Africa.
