Detail:	This is a commemorative plaque at the Manapouri Hydro Electro scheme (New Zealand's biggest). It remembers the 16 men killed during the installation of the power station (1961-71) and is located in the access tunnel outside the turbine hall some 200m underground. It lists skilled engineers whose names suggest they are drawn from a wide range of backgrounds.
Inscription:	In Memoriam . These men lost their lives during the construction of the Manapouri power project 1963-1971. God give them quiet rest.
