In this session, Denys Allen will gave a suggested approach of sources to use based on when immigration occurred to America. What will people learn? What problems/difficulties might it help with? Immigration from the United Kingdom to the United States will be broken down into three time periods: Pre-1776, 1776-1861, and 1861-1922. Each time has different immigration records and a different level of government in control of record-keeping. Her podcast Your Pennsylvania Ancestors is has 5,000 listeners a month, and her website PAancestors.com features a genealogy or history resource each week for family historians. The webinar was open to all to attend, and was FREE although registration was required.
