It was a marathon journey, one started by Sian Plant in 2009. If there is a better reason to use your Guild alias when submitting your marriages to a Challenge, I can't think of it. Use your Guild alias or lose your results in the ether!

Although as volunteers we used our best efforts, we make no warranty whatsoever as to the accuracy or completeness of the data transcribed in these worksheets.

Results

Final stage results are in the form of 3 spreadsheets which you can access from the cloud. For the sake of completeness, the 2 spreadsheets from the first stage have also been added. You need to click on each file name in turn and choose the orange 'Download' button on the right hand side of the screen to save the file to your computer.

These sheets should work with Andrew Millard's faux certificate facility. Remember to search the whole sheet in case someone of interest to you took part in a different marriage, perhaps as a witness.

Bearing in mind that FindMyPast's website says that it hosts the images to these RDs, a surprising number of marriages were unfound. Possibly some pages were omitted from its indexing process, and/or there are several churches missing. While it's not possible to say what percentage of the 22,100 marriages was found, these last tranches will follow their predecessors into the Guild Marriage Index and Marriage Vault.

Project team

These were 2 very large projects and a very large team completed them. Thanks must go to project workers Sian Plant, Mary Ghrist, Aidan Langley, Ann Williams, Bill Seary, Caryl Gill, Celia Dodd, David Short, Derrick Watson, Dick Chandler, Elizabeth Kipp, Geoff Chew, Helen Smith, Ian Gotts, Jean Normington, Jeffrey Tribe, Karen Tayler, Keir Strugnell, Lesley Dove, Linda Nicholson, Liz Holliday, Marie Byatt, Marion Harper Hopkins, Marion Woolgar, Nick Spence, Peter Astle, Peter Copsey, Phil Southwood, Ross Gammon, Sue Potter, Ann Cossar, many of whom did many tranches, and to Andrew Millard who deciphered dates mangled by Excel.

Church records thought to be wanting

From FMP

Westminster Soho St Anne

From the archives

SGHS Pimlico St Gabriel, Warwick Square (before 1905)

SGHS St Paul, Wilton Place (marriages after 1904 have not been deposited)

Cloud urlsĀ

The original cloud URLs were not working, but Ann Cossar kindly provided the spreadsheets which have been made available as Excel files. They will automatically download once you click on them.

Westminster stage 1:

2012 Westminster 1 send out

Westminster Stage 2:

2012 Westminster 2 send out

Westminster lacunae:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/clouddrive/share?s=Ve_sCgJFTacjbVHqY6ni4c

SGHS stage 1:

SGHS 2013 stage 1 to send out

SGHS Stage 2:

SGHS 2014 to send out
ExcerptOldNewDate CreatedAuthorActions April 12, 2019 @ 08:18:05 Julie Goucher April 12, 2019 @ 08:15:41 Julie Goucher March 25, 2018 @ 15:10:15 Karen Burnell March 25, 2018 @ 15:10:02 [Autosave] Karen Burnell
