I am researching a particular branch of my family tree. I have come across an individual called Catharine Woolfurt who married into the family in 1757 who I would like to know more about. I have hit a brick wall. I am unable to trace any family related to her. Neither of the popular UK family history sites (Find My Past, or Ancestry) produce any matches to the surname Woolfurt. Therefore, in an attempt to shed more light on this unusual name, I have registered it on the One Names Study site.
I have not registered any variants.
Currently, I have no information on the origin of this name other than it's unique occurrence in Berkshire.
There are no other Woolfurts that I can speak of.
