James Hurren (a pioneer of Utah) was a member of the James Willie Handcart Company of 1856 which suffered greatly on the trek across Wyoming.
Salvation Army historians will indicate that Samuel Hurren was one of the signatories to the request for a High Council to ascertain the fitness of General Bramwell Booth.
The name appears primary in Suffolk in 1881 as would be expected other incidents of this name appeared in the counties surrounding London. Other occurancies all have Suffolk links.
The name also apears in Utah, Canada Australia and New Zealand.
