Suffolk Family History Society Fair Posted 15 September 2024 by 19 October 2024 10:00 am - 4:30 pm Guild contact: Samantha Godley The Guild will have a stand at the Suffolk Family History Fair this year - why not come along? The Suffolk Family History Society Fair will be held at The Hold in Ipswich. It opens 10am til 4.30pm and is free to enter. The theme for the fair is 'Farming in Suffolk' and there will be three speakers on the day. The speakers and talks are listed below. 1, Ian Waller will give a talk on 'My Ancestor was an Agricultural Labourer'. 2, Dr Harvey Osborne will give a talk on 'The Last Revolt of the Agricultural Labourers: The Swing Riots in Suffolk & Norfolk 1830'. 3, Julie Johnson will give a talk on the 'Suffolk Trinity: unravelling ancestrial ties to Suffolks county animal and a family connection'. There will also be a number of stalls and displays and the Suffolk Family History Society will be holding a free Family History help desk from 11am to 3pm.
