The Braund Society have just celebrated their 40th anniversary. This is the story of a one-name society and its activities. Come and learn about how the society started, what we have done in the past, what we do now and how we plan to evolve to remain relevant in today’s family history world. There will be suggestions that might be applicable to your one-name study, as well as warnings of pitfalls to avoid. There is references relevant to research outside of the UK, as the study has links to Australia, New Zealand, Canada, USA and South Africa. Chris is the President of the Devon Family History Society and will be familiar to attendees at Guild conferences.
