August Allsorts Web Seminar (backup) August Allsorts Web Seminar *** this web seminar is now available to members by CLICKING HERE *** In place of the “Those Who Served” seminar planned for August 2020 (that has now been rescheduled to 23rd October 2021) we have delved into the rich resource of the Guild archive of past seminar and conference presentations to bring you these August Allsorts. All these presentations were given by members of the Guild over the past few years and cover a range of subjects relevant to one-name studies. We will launch all of these presentations here on 1st August at 10.00am [London time]. You may watch them at any time over the following 14 days (at which time they will be only available to Guild members on the website). After you have finished watching the session(s) of interest we would appreciate your comments using the feedback form HERE. Guild members don’t forget you can find all sessions, where recorded, from past Guild seminars and conferences accessed from the right of this page. What viewers said about the most recent “On The Wrong Side of the Law” virtual seminar on 16th May 2020: Researching transportees in Australia – very good talk on a very big topic, delivered with humour One of the best things about the Guild is their seminars Missed the “meeting other members” element of a seminar Good to be able to reach a wider audience on the day of the “seminar” Going to hard going back to the boring bits of genealogy now Thank you for putting these sessions online Missed meeting up with delegates over dinner the evening before an “in person” seminar Other events For details of other events organised by the Guild, go to the Events Calendar.
