Connecting with American Cousins – In completing a One Name Study with Denys Allen

Posted 7 March 2023 by Julie Goucher

In completing a One Name Study, you may wish to include distant cousins in the United States. Denys Allen will give a suggested approach of sources to use based on when immigration occurred to America. Half of time allotted will be open Q & A. You can send your questions before the talk to denys@paancestors.com or bring them to the talk.

What will people learn? What problems/difficulties might it help with? Immigration from the United Kingdom to the United States will be broken down into three time periods: Pre-1776, 1776-1861, and 1861-1922.  Each time has different immigration records and a different level of government in control of record-keeping.
