Even if your one-name study research material is held mainly in computer form, it can be well worth depositing paper copies of your study with appropriate organisations, e.g. the Society of Genealogists, County Record Offices, or Local Studies Centres. This not only safeguards your work, but also makes it available to a wider audience.
The Guild itself has limited storage premises where research material on paper can be archived and accessed. However, if a member is unable to find a more suitable home for their physical research material, the Guild may accept such data.
For long-term storage and easier access and dissemination the Guild may digitise such material. The paper material, and/or a digitised copy, will be held until a new member is prepared to continue a full ONS on that name.
