About the study
The Boocock surname study aims to research all occurrences of the name Boocock and the ancestry of people who were born with the name Boocock. Analysis of the 1841 census shows users of the name were mainly clustered in the West Riding of Yorkshire with small pockets in the East Riding of Yorkshire and Lancashire. Outside these areas there are individual family groups in other parts of England. My ambition is to extend this to a world-wide study but at the moment my research is focused on Great Britain. My proposition is; the vast majority of people with the name Boocock will have some ancestral connection with the West Riding of Yorkshire.
My One Name Study database is the public repository for my Boocock data and family connections. If you have any questions, comments or would like to contribute please contact me. I look forward to hearing from you.
