How to set up your own ONS website #GuildWeb

The aim of this much-requested seminar is to guide members who wish to create their own one-name study website or to develop an existing site.

Participants will be helped to clarify their aims in having a website and from there to consider the content and the design of such a site.

Members will then be able to choose which tools (on- and off-line software) might be best for their purposes, content and design. Each participant will be able to choose two break-out sessions in which they will gain some practical knowledge of creating a website. Depending on demand there could be more advanced level sessions as well as those for beginners.

The options for hosting your website will be examined, including the Members' Websites Project, and the seminar will end with a Question and Answer session with a panel.

Hopefully members will go home knowing at least how to start on the learning curve of creating and developing a website.  The Seminar aims to cater for both beginners and those with some experience of website creation.
