The Guild organises, sponsors and presents at events to advance the education of the public in one-name studies specifically and genealogy generally. A one day conference in Calgary, Alberta, Canada sponsored by the Alberta Family History Society and includes a range of workshops and lectures on topics ranging from Canadian Census records to DNA. Jim Benedict, Western Canada Guild Rep, will be hosting a table at the event on behalf of the Guild of One-Name Studies.
